You both see DY and TB as a profit booster for Lynas and with current prices for these two products Dy USD 200 MT and Tb $860 it absolutely has a ton of potential. Unfortunately Revenue is price times volume. I have been trying to figure out volume for almost a year. Just after 10.5 minutes into Q3 CC AL was asked directly what Volume might be. She talked about several other things. Never even giving a hint about volume July 2025 or Jully of 2026. So if you have any idea pls share it with us. If not what do you base your optimism of this becoming a contributor on? We need some idea of volume to have any clue of impact to bottom line of P&L. The very fact Lynas has been so secretive about volume makes me believe it is much lower than people think. There could be other reasons.
Most manufactures now defuse DY OR TB into finished magnets. Note it is one or other not both. Tb is much better. With diffusion, the amount can be precisely controlled depending how much Temp stability and increased magnetic field you desire. This makes it real easy to work out cost performance curves with buyers. Diffusion lowers the amount of Tb or Dy needed for any performance level.
