BYD are entirely built in China, the price of RE within China will be different to the price outside if they have export restrictions. Of course that will make the Chinese product even more competitive on the world stage.
Similarly the price of RE untainted by China will be different to the price of RE from China especially for any product that maybe used by the US military.
