Gold was mentioned in the heading ... surely goldbugs being the thinking type should appreciate constructive criticism to their 'gold is the only commodity to own in tough times' belief system.

Surely it would be interesting to note which commodities rally on the effects of this cold shock. But I really can't see the world's investors rushing to gold when food shortages start to appear in China? I could be wrong ... Nah!
