Hi, Quamera, as a Chinese, I want to say that China is one of beneficiaries as the result of US declared the war against Japs. But, one can argue US is a beneficiary as well.
In fact, instead of "beneficiary", China and US were ally during ww2 based on common interests. So in short, did US help China during ww2? of coz, yes. did China contribute to US win over Jap, its true as well.
Lastly, back to the thread topic, I am not sure how familiar are you with Chinese history and current issues. But, I am going to give you a very short answer,
(1). does China have freedom of speech? Yes
(2). what level is the freedom of speech in China? Limited, normally restricted to political issues.
(3). why lots of Chineses are being emotional against Morey tweet? No separatism is allowed in China from both government and society perspective and, please google "opium war".
(4). who is wrong in this collision? No one is wrong from self interest point of view, but, NBA or Morey just can not expect to gain China market without respecting Chinese history and its people.
