Portugal – Aurora Lithium Plant

- Capacity: Up to 35,000 tonnes per year of battery-grade lithium hydroxide
- Details: This facility is set to be the largest lithium plant in Europe
Brazil – Sigma Lithium Expansion

- Start Date: Phase 2 and 3 expansions by end of 2026
- Capacity: Targeting over 100,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) annually
- Details: Sigma aims to more than triple its current 37,000 tonnes of LCE production .

- Start Date: Expected by 2026
- Details: This project is among the largest undeveloped lithium deposits globally .
Chile – Sal de Vida Lithium Project
- Location: Salar del Hombre Muerto, Argentina
- Operator: Galaxy Resources
- Start Date: 2026
- Details: This project is part of a significant expansion in Argentina’s lithium production .
Argentina – Hombre Muerto West
- Location: Salar del Hombre Muerto, Argentina
- Operator: Livent Corporation
- Start Date: 2025
- Details: This project is expected to contribute significantly to Argentina’s lithium output .
Canada – Clearwater Project
- Location: Alberta, Canada
- Operator: E3 Lithium
- Start Date: Shovel-ready by 2026
- Details: The demonstration facility is expected to be commissioned in Q3 2025 to prove the viability of direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology .
