I was rather curious about this very inexpensive Sodium Ion battery so I looked a bit further. US$70 kWh for bare LFP cells should be about AU$110 kWh, the cheapest I could find here was AU$130 kWh which increases to AU$200 kWh when a BMS is included and AU$500 kWh for a home battery without an inverter then AU$830 kWh for a Powerwall 3 with its own inverter.
US$10 kWh will be AU$15.60kWh for bare Sodium cells, say AU$18 kWh landed in Australia. Add AU$70 kWh for a BMS or AU$370 kWh for all the extras required for a home battery or AU$700 kWh for a Sodium powered Powerwall 3 and its very clear that the actual battery cell cost is only minor compared to the rest of the packaging required. So that's a fail if I was looking for a cheap home battery.
Now looking at some of Ken Hoffman's data courtesy of @anatol it seems as if a Sodium battery is to handle high currents it also needs some extra materials which will obviously make an ICE starting battery more expensive as well. So that's probably another fail, maybe these Sodium batteries are not as interesting after all.
