The World is littered with predictions that have been way off the mark, the reason being is you can't predict the future only speculate on how it might work out. Probably even more so in a sector as dynamic as this one. There will be a place for any number of new types of batteries going forward, in particular the BESS space and it's going to be huge.
In the autominous vehicle space which will become increasingly more commonplace in cities, weight is not a major concern, longevity , charging speeds, cold weather performance etc are more important. Interesting times in a sector still in its infancy. Expect the unexpected.
