    Most are aware of what will be a change in the guard in China later this year, fewer are aware that Mr Xi Jinping has been anointed and will become the top man. Xi Jinping will be appointed President and the supreme of China. Fewer still are aware the Xi owns 18% of Jiangxi-Rare-Earth Metals and was a prime mover supporting the elimination of illegal smuggling , cleaning up the RE industry, limiting the supply, his comments at last years Japan RE conflict was that China and consolidating fewer players. The comment made at that time showed that China was not going to roll over on this issue, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Liu Weimin said at the time. "China’s rare earth resources account for 36.4% of the overall reserves in the world. However, China provides more than 90 percent of the global supply of rare earth minerals, and this situation is unsustainable. Therefore China has adopted some control measures. Despite the immense environmental pressures, China’s has not stopped exporting rare earths."
