I strongly believe Australia will do fine without Chinese commerce. We can find other markets to fill the gaps as we are not a huge economy so really there will be plenty of opportunities in the rest of Asia in the coming years. China will run its course in the next 5-10 years and will be contained. They will have internal and external issues that will make it difficult to maintain their momentum. Western civilisation has developed of thousands of years to progress, the Chinese have a communist model which cannot succeed in the long term due to its internal instabilities. Anyway those are my thoughts.
