It looks to me as though Hunan advised THR of their decision immediately following the latest drilling report indicating an expanding resource. As such this may have resulted in further delays and a more robust negotiating stance from THR. Hunan may have thought it best to move on to other things given there was not going to be a bargain on offer.
As to other things it will be interesting to see if Hunan will now get together with KIS down at King Island (lovely place). My money says that this may be a simpler project for them right now.
