Aaannnd on a totally different topic.......
Would anyone be able to enlighten me - I got into AVZ a bit late but feel a TO is quite likely.
What I’d like to know is - if for instance I bought $20,000 worth of shares and TO goes through at 50c.
I’m now sitting on $40,000 and have held in total for 6 months, the TO company is Chinese and not listed on ASX, what’s my tax implication?
Is it 50%? Plus where is my money held? Is there any way of freezing proceeds to avail of the 1 year tax break?
It’s just I haven’t been in a potential TO position such as this before
