Adelaide to host Horasis India conference in Australian first CIM Business EventsAdelaide is set to host the first ever Australian meeting of international think tank Horasis, with the Horasis India conference taking place this November.
More than 250 Indian business leaders are expected to attend the conference, which will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from November 26-28.
The event was secured through a collaboration between Business SA and Invest SA and co-hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry.
“Horasis events are world-class and attract leaders operating at that level,’’ Business SA chief executive Andrew Kay told The Advertiser.
“We will be able to showcase local business and investment opportunities to influential groups from one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.”
Invest SA executive director Chris Wood said the conference will act as a global platform to promote “South Australia’s competitive advantages and attract investment to help further develop our industries”.
Premier Peter Malinauskas welcomed the timing of the conference which follows the recent AIECTA trade agreement.
“Our leadership in renewables and the emergence of our defence, space, and bio-med sectors will all be of interest to the delegates,” said Malinauskas.
“As Australia and India look to leverage the newly signed trade agreement, events such as these place South Australia in an ideal position to create new trade and investment opportunities.’’
