Some truth but our iron ore is the bit that doesn't fit .....they actually need us more for that
can get some from Brazil ...but not as much and higher freight cost a bit oversimplified to say our resources (soft as well as hard) are not very important to China
but just as China can buy elsewhere ....so we can sell elsewhere ....we are an efficient and fairly gren producer of good quality product
