As you know HS, most on HC know more about the market than I do. But in all my time as a shareholder of AAR, in particular post 2009 AGM, I have come to understand that we should always expect the unexpected from management.

Subsequent to contacting them, I was told that all at AAR were very mindful of their fellow shareholders and they fully intended to improve communications to both the market in general via the ASX and to shareholders alike.

If you took those words at face value, the fact that we haven't heard a peep out of our hierarchy since, with the exception of the mid-December note on our website re. the RUI Explorers Conference set for late February, would make you think that we are set to read a pretty average upcoming quarterly.

This might still prove to be the case, but as we know, AAR isn't run like your average public company and it's for this reason AND one other, that I still hold out a degree of hope.

The other reason are the words, "there is much to do in January 2010" that were reitterated to me on two separate occasions in early January.

In light of the past couple of months happenings (or non-happenings), these words infer perhaps something positive will be announced that was worth waiting for.

I tossed a coin to try and help me decide whether I should take a punt and increase my holdings pre-quarterly and in true AAR spirit, the coin landed upright and refused to topple!

Oh well. We'll all know more soon. Hopefully! :)
