That's what all the CHINESE GOLD buying is doing. They are hedging their U.S. currency holdings by buying GOLD.
They are ready to go global with their GOLD backed currency reserve holding, as stated by the Chinese minister in reference to diversifying the global financial system away from the U.S System.
