Yes horses are still ridden today and are slower then ICE cars but think about this, whilst the argument you are using about the uptake of ICE vehicles obviously happened (many of us drive such still) there are environmental issues to consider with electrification of transportation too.
The uptake of EV's will undoubtedly become commonplace as it seems to gain momentum since the huge push is in play, but just like the bagging of ICE vehicles today for being environmentally unfriendly, you can bet your bottom dollar that such consequences will be in a similar and perhaps worse fashion in time as a consequence of EV's but hey, there are many experts that do not appear too concerned. The video posted is simply for entertainment purposes, as it reminds me of cars used in movies that are being exploded. Enjoy your EV.
You claim I'm on the wrong side of this, perhaps, but perhaps not on the wrong side of the environmental issues that will result on account. As long as it's not 'in my backyard' it's all well and good. Just an opinion and as such I think I am entitled to such as are you with yours.
Horse riding is an expensive hobby these days albeit much slower but environmentally friendlier than either driving an ICE or EV. The pace of life was much slower in days gone by and perhaps with the added benefit of being more relaxing, just have a look at the congested city roads with ever increasing traffic loads. I believe John Denver had a song titled 'Thank God I'm a country boy' - resonates rather well. AIMO
