Hi hws, if 16mtpa can be shipped from Port 7 I can't see why adding a port to Geraldton wouldn't double this capacity allowing 30mtpa to be shipped?

The point you raise about larger ships is more of a cost issue isn't it? Larger ships or filling Panamex ships to capacity (currently filling ships to 65Kt as opposed to their capacity of about 75Kt) at Oakajee would reduce freight costs vs. Geraldton although I expect that the cost to develop the Oakajee would be higher than adding to Geraldton I expect. Either way, a business case would have to be approved before proceeding including Magnetite plant expansion costs, etc..... sdo
