I agree that China will be a major potential buyer of gold over the next few years, but probably not to the extraordinary level suggested when you compare percentages.
What I find really interesting is the absolute level of Chinese reserves of all sorts. With these sorts of resources at their command, a Chinese "hard landing" was never on the cards. But that conversation belongs on another forum....
