Sad to see Australians are being softened up by key media groups for involvement in a US war with China.

in particular and notably by News Corpse and Nine, which publishes chief protagonist, the Sydney Morning Herald, possibly now Australia's leading war magazine.

Have you ever heard anything so ludicrous as Australia at war with China, our number #1 trading partner for a couple of decades, in turn underpinning Australia'sprosperity. Mention must also be made of the 5% of the population who were born in China.

any conflict would focus on Taiwan, recognized by all govts as being a province of China and about which Australians care not a jot.

the war being promoted, encouraged and hoped for by News Corpse and Nine wouldn't have a skerrick of Australia's national interest at stake.

no, such a war is solely about maintaining the illusion theUS can remain the most powerful nation on Earth.

it would, therefore, be mostly about boosting output and profits of the US military-industrial complex, it's biggest industry.

the idiotic connivance of an ALP govt with US bombmakers is treasonous.

but the broadening direction of current war language and its growing momentum areclearly evident.

it's a ghastly thought that at some future time, historians may look back at this period and find the hands of PM Albanese, and senior ministers Marles and Wong already smeared in blood as they yielded Australia's national interest to the profits of the US war machine.

it's disgraceful diplomacy by successive govts that has got Australia a long way along this dead end road, one which involves the deaths of countless people and massive destruction of cities and infrastructure everywhere.

for all their good intentions elsewhere, Albanese and Wong may be overseeing the destruction of their own party.

a shameful episode never to be forgiven.

    shameful.
