BHP ignited interest in the broader fertiliser sector - which was fantastic, but I don't beleive they will be inteseted in Wonarah unfortunately.
for some reason BHP was only attracted to Potash - they had planned to divest the Potash Corp. phosphate and nitrogen businesses.
Maybe is was the Canpotex cartel arangement and tightly controlled Potash supply that held their interest?
However this is now strike 3 for major M&A deals for Kloppers - his ego may be hurting right now - so you never know what the net trick up their sleeve is....
The interest now in this sector can only benefit MAK - and well aided finally by the World Bank Pink Sheet lift in RP prices to $140 US.
This shoud give some inpetus to Verte Group to stich as deal.
