When the Japs came in storming through QLD they were the masters of the universe.
When their economy tanked, so did their investments.
Same here imo. Unless these Chinese move here, if they have debts to settle in their homeland then they will have to liquidate assets overseas.
It isn't high profile, but the Chinese government also have a very effective government unit that ruthlessly tracks down anyone who has corruptly spirited money overseas.
Ever wonder why some of these people return home to certain death? The govt. threatens their family, usually their parents, or close blood relatives.
