Yes, I agree, the way things are going ten years is too long for a US meltdown.
I was thinking more about China's game plan with the BRI, and when they will be able to afford to let the US economy fail. At the moment debtors are propping up the US with their confidence - but as Greece found that can change pretty quickly if investors start to believe the US may not be able to pay its debts.
And is, in effect, run by clowns on tiny tricycles.
