Perhaps they ought to just allow drugs. Then we could legitimately invest in creating better chemicals to turn us all into superhumans - preferably without the side effects. A bit like the Grand Prix, where its not just the skill of the driver credited with winning the race and the technology and engineering improvements made eventually flow through to the rest of us.
