    I do understand it to a certain degree, I have never lived there but I did previously do business with mainland China

    My comment re Evergrande was that it is not just one company failing but it would have directly impacted on a huge number of small contractors, suppliers which will now go to the wall

    Yes they are very rich but there are limits which as a Communist country are more restrictive than a free wheeling Western economy, plus the fact they don't have any friends

    It is not being rich that is important, it is what you do with it that's vital

    The days of buying face masks for 40 cents and a gold plated watch for $5.00 are IMHO over as they realize that others are making the big profits that they should have had, like the Arab countries that put the oil price up due to the high taxes that the western world could put on their too cheap oil
