Dopey, if I did inspire it then the writer must have read my thread "WW3" and my previous thoughts on China.
It is obvious to me that America is taking China head on and as explained in your Telegraph article is making things very tough for the Chinese government to fight inflation.
And knowing the one mindedness and brutality of the Chinese government maybe the US is pushing China into a very obvious and public response to inflation.
The Chinese are paranoid about control and they must control inflation; what ever it takes.
It would not surprise me if the economic power of the present China is diminished over the next 10 years or so.
One of the other threads talks about small states and a feudalistic future.
