a friend booked in sept to fly to china...the airline cancelled all tickets and called it a "BLACKOUT".i had a go at the travel agent but they said the chnese airlines have the power to cancell seats and screw you for what they can get.is this correct ????
my friend started off at around $1400 now they want $1900 and from what i have see even that might not get a fare return melb/guangzhou.
i have flown qantas,cathay,new zealand,singapore etc and this has never ever appened to me
