Mostly agree with you sabbeth as I was a bit laid back reading the thread with a few who paint themselves as fairdinkum Aussies calling Asia shiitholes.
I happened to work in India and Malaysia for ~4 years around 1990 and could not come to terms with what I saw when I visited them again last year. Just for statistics yes, India was a shiithole with over 95% extreme poor population when they took over the nation from British in 1948. Now they have a middle class of over 40% of a billion population and a US$ millionaire class of over 60 million. That is 3 times Australia’s population as millionaires and put out 18 million college graduates each year and growing close to 10%. I dread to think whats our position in Global terms against India , China etc in 20 years time.
