If there is no announcement (or explanation given) within this period, I will be extremely concerned. Because it will indicate that there is some sort of delay or problem. As already discussed the fact that GJ is retiring on 31st of August is also a solid pointer. This means that there is a strong chance of an announcement coming prior to August 31st. If there is no announcement come August 31st, I severely doubt that there will be one within the month of September, as GJ would have stuck around for that, if it was the case. So my take is that it is either going to happen before August 31st or not at all.
