Unfortunately what is happening as I see it is that demand and pricing is been driven and satisfied by contractual arrangements between the various supply/demand parties. These contracts are for extended time periods which takes away any speculative interest or short term volatility.

I think that until the GX Li ETF makes a serious move the whole lithium market will stay in the doldrums. The catalyst for this could be a broad based acknowledgement that LCE is in extreme short supply and speculative interest returns fueling a 'bull' market. It has been very cleverly controlled (a bit like OPEC for oil!) to prevent price getting out of control. However this situation cannot last for ever and something will break and the fun will start! What this commodity (or maybe specialty?) needs is a Futures market which would show the true price pressures. No doubt this will come in time.

I agree with you. Since December 2017 the Global Lithium EFT has gone down just over 15%.

However, there seems to be signs of a recovery in the price with a hint of a rise since may of this year.

Given the strong geo results recorded thus far for BGS and PFS version 2 soon to come out, I think that BGS will be de-coupling from this market average and striking out on its own as a viable lithium resource worthy of the attention of major investors.
