I mulled the potential hypocrisy of my post as I was drafting and before posting. I even had a paragraph about it but removed it.
For all its foreign policy faults, America has never been aggressively territorially expansionist nor aggressive to anything other than countries run by despots and corrupt dictators ... I get that is a moral relativity.
But Chinese leadership now talking of destiny, glory and global dominance is in a completely different league.
