House prices rising? If a couple buy a house for 510k, then one family has paid 510k for a roof over their head. If 3 families buy a house for 510k, then those families paid 170k for a roof over their head. We have to stop thinking along Anglo Saxon/European values. We are being populated by families from regions where 3 families sharing a house is a luxury. So house prices are still cheap if you value them along multiple occupation. The downside for Australia is that you may find the house next to you is a mini-hotel, apartment block. What will a local council do if you complain, probably nothing as they will be the people selling or renting out multiple occupancy houses!!
