the story details of the Chinese-manufactured surveillance cameras are of zero importance. Though they serve as a useful reminder of the on point themes that ran in the Spy Vs Spy comic strip in Mad Magazine decades ago., a reminder of which is reproduced below.

the camera caper at the Australian War memorial serves only to remind us of the Sinophobia that has taken hold in Canberra in recent years.

I didn't think the expressions of this Sinophobia could worsen, but they have and this pathetic episode takes the cake.

oh, somewhat disappointed to see former defence minister Kim Beazley appointed boss of the War Memorial, from where he may be able to influence war policy on a wider front.

beazley you'll recall was a principal architect of the useless policy decision to burden the nation with a fleet of submarines.

now here he is bobbing up and down and walking the walk as Australia nears crucial deadlines about wasting $170 billion on 8 nuclear-powered subs, whose primary use would be for the US to command in its confected hostilities with China.

beazley must be excluded from any discussion about the $170 billion subs scandal.
