That has already been done in the US. They are illegal and people have been busted selling them.
The point is they are not just a copy but an illegal counterfeit. They have Gibsons name and serial numbers on the instruments.
Unfortunately they are made from crap and would be fair enough if they put their own label and names on them but they don't they use all other big name guitar makers including Fender, Gibson, Martin etc etc and they use those names and serial numbering systems in an attempt to con people.
As far as Im aware they are not illegal in Australia .... yet but there are quite a few of them around here.
