IMO we hvae to be more circumspect in our relations
with both the USA & China rather than riding shotgun on
    Uncle Sam's anti-China coach ,

In the longer term we should gradually wean ourselves
off being economically dependant on China and dependant on the USA
for our national Security..ie being independent.

To finance our independance we simply have to tax our resources
and compel multinationals (all 800 of them) to pay their fail share
of Aus tax even if that means imposing a turnover tax on them
rather than the current regime which is evidently not working.

IMO we should be offering our Foreign Affairs
    Ministry as mediator:

IMO the AUKUS gig is simply a ploy to engineer Aus
electorate agreement for US Nuke Subs to be based in
Perth & Darwin because by 2045 when the Subs are due,
that we'll already have had a US/China warrior the USA
will have to retreat away from Asia due China's increasing
military power. So the sane thing for Aus is to be mediator
thereby avoiding being a Nuke target.

We simply have to accepr that China is on the rise:
-It has theworld's biggest GDP (PPP) since 2016 and growing
-It commands 30% of Global manufacturing
-It commands 30% of Global Trade

Unlike the USA it has cut trade deals with 130 countries
in the form of ots BRI and its developing a Euraisin form of NATO
    in its SCO

The bottom line for Aus is that we have to learn to live with China
rather than as a US Lieutenant , try to stymie China's growth.

Our economic future and by implication, our independance, depends on it.
