The ultimate measure of a system is to what
extent that it contributes to the general good.

China's system has taken ofer 800 million Chinese
out of abject poverty over the past generation and
    that trend is progressing.

Just look at what the US system has done over the past generation:
    -caused the GFC
    -has oversaw increasing homelessness
    -has overseen increased crime
    -has overseen increased drug addiction
-has overseen the demolition of US manufacturing.

Of course the anti-China argument is all about politics
    -social liberties
-State capitalism (in economics it doesn't matter who owns the capital
...its the outcomes that matter ( Deng Xiaoping famously said "It doesn't matter whether a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice.")

At present when it comes to economic growth, the increase in Chinese Middle Class,
manufacturing, trade and GDP (PPP) this Chinese Cat is doing its economic job, IMO.

Politics is a different kettle of fish, IMO.

And dont mention Chinese Billionaires (pssst: they have passed out the US in numbers!)
