IMO big corporations feel more secure with long term Government
plans because they too have, by their very nature, long term plans.

As such they dont need the complex matrices of contingency plans /strategies
to deal with chopping and changing from one 3-4 year electoral cycle to another.

Also when Government plans are set for longer periods,
there is less corporate expense in ongoing political lobbying/political donations.

The Chinese "Made in China 2025" is a mega shift
from quantity to quality to compete with other global manufacturers
such as Japan, Germany and Korea etc in the long term.

Of course the big political argument is that of a 2 political party system
(the west) vs a 1 party system (China)

What would happen if China added a second Communist Political Party
(CPP1 & CPP2) and then like the USA (Republicans/Democrats ...Fiddle dee & Fiddle dum)
had elections....would that be more acceptable?

The Chinese CCP has about 100 million members and, IMO, this
is where the micro-politics happen in the scramble to being elected
to State first and then to Federal politics. In that respect , the CCP
form of Government resemble more a mega corporation rather
than a typical western style political structure.

The big question is will our insatiable appetite for democracy
ever trickle down to the work place to have "Democracy at Work"?
The argument being , if its good for the Gander (the State) then
why not for the Gander (the workplace)

Lets face it, over time there has been very littel difference between
the Republicans and the Democrats with the "emoting' being mostly
about power rather than policy and if policy were to be an issue,
historically there were minor tweaks# rather than "one great step for humanity"

    # The biggest quantum leap in US policy was during FD Roosevelt
regime (the New Deal) to remedy the excesses of Capitalism (The Great Depression)
but that was rapidly reeled back post WW2 by the "deep state"& vested interests.
