SHANGHAI, Nov. 3 (SMM) – Last week, nickel ore inventories at China’s top five ports – Tianjin, Rizhao, Lanshan, Lianyungang, and Jingtang – fell 310,000 tonnes to 15.24 million tonnes, Shanghai Metals Market data showed.
Stocks at Tianjin, Rizhao, Lanshan, Lianyungang, and Jingtang were 4.30 million tonnes, 1.2 million tonnes, 2.29 million tonnes, 6.10 million tonnes, and 1.35 million tonnes, respectively, according to SMM data.
Last week, eight ships, carrying 400,000 tonnes of nickel ore, arrived at the Port of Lianyungang, and 350,000 tonnes were picked up from the port, leaving inventories up 50,000 tonnes at the port.
The Port of Rizhao saw no arrivals of shipments last week, and with no new expected this week.

Inventories at the Port of Lanshan were essentially unchanged, as the arrivals of two shipments were taken away from the port. One new shipment is expected at the port this week.

At the Port of Tianjin, 100,000 tonnes of ore carried by two ships were unloaded, while 250,000 tonnes were picked up, so ore stocks there declined 150,000 tonnes.

The Port of Jingtang saw nickel ore stocks down 50,000 tonnes, with no arrivals reported, according to SMM data.
