It was stated as irrefutable fact, last night, ABC TV, by some expert on these matters (sorry, his name escaped me) - in a general discussion on the latest Chinese hacking revelations, that China HAS already hacked into several of Australia's leading Iron Ore producing companies' computer systems. Their business secrets now imperilled.
If Beijing are interested in smaller explorers, take overs, stakeholders, JV, etc. this is a very worrying development.
Makes any meaningful negotiations virtually impossible, in any possible interaction with China, doesn't it? At the very least - it's a matter of trust.
He said that worldwide, it's not a matter of which international major companies have already been hacked, but more a matter of which ones have been, but don't know of it - yet! Implying, virtually, ALL!
Where does all this leave us - the "little" shareholders. And moreso, the companies we support?
A very frightening development. And not just with regard to shares.
Would like to hear more experienced opinion, as to possible ramifications? Not only re. IOH having been hacked, possibility - but, overall?
