The hard nosed pollcy of the Chinese in trade deals looks set to be undone with Trump looking to raise tariffs on Chinese goods from 10% to 25 %.
He has suggested that some of those spoils could be used to buy US Agricultural goods for redistribution as humanitarian aid .
He now has the full support of Democrats in holding out for the best possible outcome and ironically may yet be seen as a President who bucked the system in the face of worldwide condemnation over his stance on climate change and trade.and yet achieved a better long term result for the US
Who but Donald Trump could have earned the admiration of Kim Jong Un and averted nuclear war .
This is a situation where the Chinese have met their match and will likely change their position quickly.
In spite of the world believing that man is solely responsible for climate change I tend to believe that natural occurrences such as the 2004 Indonesian earthquake have also played a not insignificant part.
When the Indian Ocean floor rose up by more tan 30 feet over an an area equivalent in size to the State of California the subsequent displacement of water was significant
Equivalent in force to 23,000 Hiroshima bombs going off simultaneously the Boxing day quake killed more than 230,000 people across 14 different countries.
Trillions of tonnes of rock were thrown out .
When you consider that the highest mountain in the world is underwater and part of the Pacific Ring of Fire it is little wonder that all those volcano's spewing out molten rock will inevitably lead to rising sea levels and with it ,greater depths.
Inevitably it has to impact on climate.
Add in the Japanese earthquake and mans contribution may be less than die hard climate changers would have you believe.
One thing we can all agree on is that prolonged drought and flash floods are becoming much more prevalent while Government focus on capitalizing via carbon credits is also on the rise .
Call me a skeptic but there isn't a government anywhere that doesn't look to increase revenue by fair means or foul
