Hi Helmenesh
Just to clarify, I am by no means a fan of Mr Trump ...megalomaniac sums him up very well
I too shared the same concerns as everyone else when he stood for office and quite honestly never believed for a moment that he could ever be elected.
His treatment of women was abysmal and nothing short of unsavory at best
But I do believe that the right President is always in the job at the appropriate time .
When JFK was elected in the sixties race relations were a contentious issue and while he did his best to avoid the confrontations of it all he was nonetheless instrumental along with his brother in bringing about much needed change
He also oversaw the Cuban missile crisis and his cool head one the day
When Barack Obama was elected the US was in dire need of an improved image internationally and he in my opinion has been the greatest orator of all the modern day US Presidents
And the fact that they even elected him ,a black man, restored the worlds confidence in the American people at a time when their image was at an all time tarnished low
His introduction of Obamacare which I think has since been repealed highlighted the need for looking after those without the wherewithal of looking after themselves .
When Clinton left office, the US had trillion dollar surpluses
But by the time G W Bush had waged his personal vendetta on Saddam Hussein and his so called Weapons of Mass Destruction the world was left with the 2008 Global Financial Crisis..
The US economy went from one extreme to the other.
And when you think of the evil the world was facing at the outbreak of World War 2, out of nowhere came FDR and Winston Churchill men of tremendous character and strength
Eisenhower was another
I think Kim saw in Donald Trump somebody like himself who was prepared to stand out against the crowd and even being called Rocket Man probably fueled his ego.
They are probably very alike .
As for climate change I do believe that fossil fuels have played a part for sure as has deforestation but i don't believe they are the sole contributors by any stretch
The Pacific Ocean which is encircled by the Ring of Fire and its many volcano's accounts fully for one third of the surface area of the Earth or 15 X the size of the USA
As you know luxuriant plant growth as in a greenhouse environment lends itself to greater crops .
Getting the life balance right is critical not only for feeding man but also for sustaining him
Your summation Helmenesh as always is first class and extremely well written
Nice to know that I'm not the only one who thinks that nature.plays its part .
