I think we're going to see EV manufacturers trying to achieve take-off / price lock in as companies like Mitsubishi have, with GMM/GXY. If you can't power your EV, or the batteries are so expensive it's unviable, you are pretty stuffed. Telsa and GM are about to take a load of battery-grade Lithium off the table to achieve their production numbers.
In many ways they are small fry, compared to what China is doing on home turf.
