All so true, look at the influence China has shown in Vanuatu last week with aid coming from Australia.
Two RAAF flights left Amberly loaded with aid for the cyclone ravaged area, China had a aid plane on tarmac as well from the day before and was somehow on a go slow to unload so when the two planes from Amberly arrived they couldn't land and circled around for some time and decided come back to base here in Australia fully loaded as was too big a risk to land the planes with the Chinese plane on the tarmac.
No consideration to tow this plane out of the way as they would have known that more planes were arriving.
They flew out the next day again and landed to unload the much needed cargo.
If that wasn't a slap in the face for the Australian government as to what influence they have in the south pacific and if they completely take over this airline there will be no local jobs from this country.
