You make some very valid points. Although our coal quality is far superior to those countries that you mentioned. Unfortunate for the prosperity of our country we have a Government that does not realise the importance of the mining sector and that we have a two speed economy and that if you hamper the speed and growth of your prize money spinner a the time when it is needed most the entire country is going to miss out and no doubt there will be much more pain. The countries you previously mentioned will be loving the shackles the Australian Government has put on their own mining industry, they will be the major benefactors. Can the “World's best Treasurer" not see the mining tax is slowing the growth of the industry to a crawl, with production stalling near the high tax threshold. If this Government does not wake up shortly it could possible go down as the worst Gov in Aus history. This is not the time to be have a political ego.
Sorry, back to subject at hand. I have no doubt Cok will rebound it could easily be back at 30c within a few weeks. The volumes have been so light it doesn't take much to push it around either way.
After weathering this storm surely its time to sit and hold, or possibly average down??
