Re uranium... I just had a look at an ACB presentation .. at about slide 4 it shows the following stats extracted from World Nuclear Association:
Operating nuclear plants ~ 439 Reactors under construction ~ 59 Planned reactors ~ 149 Proposed reactors ~ 344
The graphic shows the majority of under construction and planned are China based (...o surprise, suprise...)
Not entirely clear on the uranium market (supply / demand balance) but difficult to assume that a 59/439 increase will not have some price increase or that a (59 + 149) / (439 +59) will not also have a significant uranium price impact. I note especially that demand for electrical energy is IMO! insatiable but sources finite (and dwindling)....
I suppose re GDO it is easy to conclude the above is certainly not a bad thing ... possibly underwrites more the Chinese participation rather than fair valuation of GDO but all good either way you cut it...
