Hi All
Interesting to see HSBC rocket to the top of the Top 20 list. I was discussing this with a friend and the point was made that HSBC is the Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation, that we have recently had Kingsway (a Hong Kong company) come into the Top 20 and that China has very good relationships with Iran, a great need for zinc with stockpiles dwindling and a stated intention/policy of seeking to secure future commodities supplies through strategic investment.
Is it possible that we are seeing a move from China in some form? I don't know who HSBC hold for (do they include RAB's holding?) but it's a strong move up the ladder. Speculation only at this stage but I would be interested in any thoughts and whether anyone sees any valid connections we should keep an eye out for?
I have posted this on ShareScene as well to see what ideas are there too.
cheers
