Good to see another long-term HDR follower back on HC - correct me if I am wrong but I haven't noticed you commenting on HDR since last year.
My understanding of the depths is that the well depth is from the rotary rig table (i.e. from the ship's drilling platform). So TD is depth below sea level minus however high off the surface the platform is - my guess would be around 30 metres. The fact that this well is being drilled in 815 metres of water is irrelevant other than that it tells you that they have been drilling from 815 metres minus the 30 metres (say 785 metres) in rock. This gives you an idea of the drilling rate so far from which you can extrapolate time to TD.
