Folks... alot of these issues have been addressed in previous posts. CFU believes they can get the price of a fuel cell down to about $8k - $10k per unit within 3 years or so via large scale production at their German site. We all know the Retail cost for electricity is going up significantly over the next 5 years (possibly even doubling from current prices). This is due to the required expansion AND replacement of infrastructure in the Mains Electricity Grid. On top of this, Utilities are also saying increased fuel costs are contributing to a higher cost for production.

There is also an enormous supply of Natural Gas on the world markets, with no shortage for the foreseeable future. Hydrolic Fracturing technologies have significantly increased natural gas reserves.

Without considering the cost of the Fuel Cell, electricity produced by the fuel cell (natural gas consumption being the only cost) is ALREADY significantly cheaper than the Retail Mains Electricity price. When you consider where the Retail price of electricity is going Vs cheaper Fuel Cells running on cheap natural gas it's really a no brainer ; )
