So basically I went and read the patents. The foundation patent covers use of all viruses in the Picornavirus family that includes Coxsackie.
- It covers various methods of delivery.
- Various concentrations and strains of the virus
- It uses an unmodified strain of the virus
The foundation patent filed in 2002 will expire in 2022 I think which is only 6 years away.
There are a few subsequent patents for specific uses such as in bladder cancer and blood cancer.
However they have filed for the patent to cover combined therapy in 2014 which is where the money will be.
