I would expect the share price on the ASX to perform quite well once the TSX-V cross-listing is announced. There is a much better analyst coverage of the geothermal sector in North America and many investors in North America have seen geothermal in operation for decades, hence, they are more willing to invest in the sector than Aussies who have been witness to a failing local industry (although that could change soon if GDY is successful with their latest drilling program).
As for your other question, I have no idea regarding the mechanism of the cross-listing. I suspect that the company will probably want to raise more capital out of the process. More capital would enable other projects to be fast-tracked.
