Your assertion that exercise of the employee options is a good thing doesn't make sense because they are long way off expiry. To the holder of these options, it doesn't matter if the share price is 20c by years end, they still exercise for 1c.

However, if they thought bad news was coming, they would exercise and sell now at 2c or so, doubling thier money, before the price falls back down to 1c on bad news.

Not to be pessimistic, but the exercise of these options means very little. Think about it.
